Laboratories
Our recently refurbished CL2 labs are based in the Tonge building on Oxford Brookes University Headington campus and are available to rent offering both flexibility in space and financial packages. Included within our pricing is access to a range of research facilities, world leading expertise and basic technical support. We also encourage companies to contribute to the development of our students through offering work experience placements, projects or internships.
We have space within several labs available for industry use.

What is included?
Facilities
Residency at the BiH provides access to a range of equipment and facilities that are core to the activities of many biotechs.
There are a number of additional facilities and expertise available on site which are available at additional cost, such as access to Oxford Brookes Centre for Bioimaging.


Support
Technical support included within the lab pricing includes:
- Glass washing and sterilising by autoclaving of reagents
- Biohazard waste autoclaving and disposal
- Clinical and cytotoxic waste disposal (5 boxes included in agreement, further boxes available for a fee)
- Lab safety induction
- Incoming/outgoing stores services
Consumables
Included within the lab pricing are:
- Pipette tips (non-filtered only)
- 1.5ml Eppendorf tubes
- Glassware
- Ultrapure water
- Nitrile gloves
- IMS
- Lab roll
- Petri dishes
Excessive use of shared consumables will incur a charge.
